Jacob laughed, but it was humorless and sounded more like a bark. It wasn't very Jacob-like. "You don't make a decision of that. It just happens. It's not something you can change when it happens, either. I don't know how to explain it to you..." he shrugged. It was what it was.

She looked away when he spoke. Oh. she said, but didn't look back at him. She didn't really know what to say. Or what she'd do if he ever did imprint. She knew if he did, she wouldn't have him.

Jacob shrugged. "it's nothing you've got to worry about. Seriously. I... they... Look, it's the exception to the rule. It rarely happens; it's uncommon. I wouldn't worry about it - seriously." He was trying to convince her that he was good for her, although he didn't know if that was true or not. Vampires and... Jacob.... well, they shouldn't be together. They were natural born enemies. He didn't want to hurt Camille, but he knew that if it came between her and the pack, he'd chose the pack. He wouldn't go around telling her that, though.

She shook her head as he spoke, looking down. I shouldn't have asked. she said, her voice barely above a whisper. Sighing, she hugged him, resting her head on his shoulder, closing her eyes. She didn't really know what to do, now. She regretted asking him what imprinting was. She was glad vampires couldn't do that, though she wouldn't say it. She knew that if they could, Jayden probably would have 'imprinted' on her. Now that, wouldn't have ended so well. Especially with how he was toward her.

"I'm sorry," he responded honestly, seriously. He kissed the top of her head. "Maybe I should go," he said, sliding off the bed. He wondered, idly, if she'd stop him from this.

When he spoke of leaving, she sighed, looking down at her hands, thinking. She closed her eyes a moment, and then opened them, looking at him, pain showing in her eyes. Please don't go.. she said, though it only came out a whisper.

"Fine," he said in a somewhat harsh tone. Jacob didn't mean to be rude. Aside from the fact that it was just how he was, he was tired and upset and just not in a generally good mood. He sat back down on the bed. Good job on ruining a perfectly good day, he thought to himself.

She sighed as he spoke in a harsh tone, sitting on the bed. She looked at him, hearing his thoughts. Are you mad at me? she asked, her voice soft. She wasn't sure if he was or not, but she knew he'd wanted to leave. And she felt selfish because she wanted him here, she wanted him. She knew she could have found a vampire, but she wouldn't. She was selfish and only wanted Jacob.
