Jamie listened intently to Tori's words. When she had finished, she replied with somewhat of a smirk, "Is she really that smart?" She grinned then, wishing that her words could really be put to use. And then, out of the corner of her eye, she spotted a white tiger stepping out of the brush. She gaped slightly and was just about to turn around to see it better, but a woman stood in the tiger's place. She knew immediately that this girl was a vampire, and therefor shape shifting must be her special ability. Interesting. Jamie raised her eyebrows slightly when the girl walked over and started to talk, but she didn't say anything when it was over except, "What do you know about them?

She smiled again. "Well I know she's a complete bitch that always has to get her own way."
She brushed her hair behind her shoulder. "I also know what she wants you for, it's why Victoria hasn't tried to kill me. We want the same thing but I don't know if you know." She scratched her head. "Has Victoria mentioned me?"
She didn think Victoria had but she thought she would ask anyway?

I nodded, not a bit unruffled by her sudden appearance as a tiger. I'd seen her transform. I sniffed the air curiously, thinking. I'd seen that Victoria was going to go see her once, but I'd left before I could meet the chalkily olive-skinned vampire. I smiled. "You're Courtney, right? I saw that she was going to talk to you once...other than that she hasn't mentioned you. So yes. We're the newborns." She paused for a second, assesing the new vampire. Shapeshifting was almost too useful. She thought. So Victoria wanted them all for the same thing? She couldn't imagine what, really, unless she was starting a war. She turned to Courtney. "What does she want us for? Who's she going to take on that numbers are so important to her?" She saw the answer before it came, and gasped.

Jamie remained quiet throughout the first portion of the conversation, clearly deep in thought. It seemed that every word that was uttered between the other two only served to anger her more. She felt useless, like she was nothing more than some sort of pawn. She felt that she was only still living to serve the foolish, greedy plans of a few naive brats. Well she refused to be the servant of anyone. She was better than that. After the others had finished, she said, "And what does it matter what Victoria wants? What use will she have for us once her plans are fulfilled?"

She smiled happily even though it wasn't a happy occasion, "Well we have a hate for the Cullens, and seeing as newborns are say ever so slightly more powerful then the ormal vampire she is intending to use you as say, an army of soilders on crack," She chuckled, "As to what she is for doing with you after I don't know. The normal case is to ... dispose of the evidence but I'm sure if you appeal to Victoria's good nature she may let you live out your life."
"If she doesn't you can run to me and I'll protect you the best you can, being a vampire isn't all that bad, especially if you have people you know."

She nodded practically, having seen her answer coming before it actually did. Thinking to herself, she turned to Jamie. "Does Victoria have a particular idea in place for each of us? Like, are we all combat fighters or does she have spies in mind too?" She was interested in finding out about these "Cullens". She thought it'd be useful to find out what she was up against. A plan was slowly forming itself in her head.
She smiled cattily. "I don't like the idea of hiding behind someone, no offense Courtney. Would she care enough to come after us if we ran once all was said and done?"

"Well seeing as you are stronger than the normal vampire I would be leaning towards combat, and your eyes stand out too much to be spies."
She chuckled, "I didn't say hide now I said protect meaning I would put my word in for you, and it would take more than that to offend me. I was just saying that however many their was of you ... plus me ... only if Victoria proved a problem. And when a whole family like the cullens are attacked someone is going to poke their nose in they can't find newborns involved so ... you know." She drew a line across her throat with her fingure.

I rolled my eyes. "Ugh." This wasn't a good situation all around. I sighed. "I didn't mean spies in the human sense...well in technique I did but not in subject. Look, you know what I can do. You don't think I'd be a useful spy when it comes to the Cullens? Besides, what's Victoria's problem with them anyway?" They were an obviously strong family, so it seemed odd that Victoria wanted to attack them so badly. I wanted to say simple curiosity propelled me but it was something a bit more.

Courtney flicked her hair back out of her face again, " Ah your gift thingy yeah, but it only works a few seconds doesn't it, that money thing mmm I was more of a cat anyway, but with a quick temper. A few seconds but that's important, Victoria is lucky. A spy yes in a way you can tell when they meet you, a few seconds in advance, gives you the edge and surprise, and you can see attacks when they come, that means you can defend yourself, and others." Courtney went on, her battle sence just split from her mouth, it had impressed Victoria on her first visit. She sighed and then shugged. "But sure whatever you think."
"But yours I think is better. The power of quick thinking is amazing. You can work out angles at which to attack, angles to fall from trees to break bones, how far bones can bend before they snap. Oh it comes in usful for hunting and making it look like an accident, I do that." She smiled, that's a little longer to work out but still.
