"He's not her type," repeated Victoria with another wry smile. It was impossible for a vampire to be a human's type, after all, or at least it was in Victoria's eyes. And who was this human to even try to convince her otherwise? "It'll end badly. Trust me." Despite the seemingly grim news, Victoria kept her twisted smirk plastered on her profile. Oh, yes. It would end terribly if all worked out according to the coven's plan.
With the human dead by our hand and the vampire left to exist without her. Oh, the irony.
Victoria chuckled inwardly at the girl's innocent question. Acting as if she was thinking the question over in her mind, the orange-haired vampire took in a deep breath of air through her nostrils which put the alluring scent of the human girl sitting next to her into her senses. As an automatic reflex, Victoria's vampire venom began running down her throat, which made her feel as if she was swallowing vodka as a human. The burning and dryness of her throat made the vampire's need for human blood -despite the fact that she had just fed- grow. She knew she would have to be careful in the future. Victoria could resist the strong scent of possible meals as long as she didn't focus too much on a single one, or inhale it directly like she just did for the benefit of the Claire girl.
"Yeah, I think they'd approve," Victoria answered simply, although the odds that her mind was thinking of the same thing Claire's was were extremely bad odds. Of course, was there ever a meal that her coven didn't approve of? Unless one was talking about the Cullens and their vile eating habits, but when it came to Victoria's dignity, they knew she would never sink so low. "Ancient stuff between us and the Cullens, you know? Sort of thing that started decades ago." Despite Claire not asking, Victoria knew from experience it was better to give a human more information than they ask for then to allow the opportunity to ask and give them less than they expected. It raised curiosities, and that was the last thing Victoria and the coven needed right then. That was, at least, unless this human girl was looking for a life among the undead or an untimely death.

"Mmm Maybe I could meet them sometime?" She said without thinking. She stopped that was a stupid thing to say, of course she would would want Claire to meet her family. She was just another girl with an over excited imaginiation.
"Oh really. Cool." She was interested now, she loved this sort of thing. "Can you tell me more?"

"Yeah, yeah. Sure," answered Victoria with slight nod of her head. She was simply placating the human girl in hopes of getting more information out of her and trying to keep the conversation moving. Besides, the last time she had brought a human home, James had thrown a fit. Although, in his defense, the last time Victoria brought a human home she had had hopes of keeping it as a pet. Or a delayed dinner. Whichever suited her at that particular moment. That was in her younger days of a vampire, though, not that that was saying much for alterations in her mental standings. Needless to say, James had not approved of Victoria's brilliant idea and the human child became dessert in no time at all. For the record, the four-year-old made a much better snack than pet; the child didn't stop wailing the whole time she was with Victoria (Although who could honestly blame her?), and ended up giving the orange-haired vampire something that felt like a headache, even though it was physically possible for her to get one since her body was no longer living.
Victoria chuckled at the human's eagerness. It was classic human social skills when it came to dealing with creatures far above them on the animal hierarchy, as far as Victoria was concerned. Nonetheless, the orange-haired vampire found it amusing. Or at least bearable since the only other option to talking to Claire was listening to the teacher drone on about something or another. Like that was ever going to happen.
"The Cullens are just pretty sensitive about the whole ordeal," answered Victoria with a slight shrug. "Big babies, you know? They just can't get over spilt blood." Victoria laughed, playing it off as if she had slipped up with her words. "No, that's not right. What's the saying? Spilt milk? Yeah. They won't let what's in the past stay in the past. It's really quite annoying. They act as if people can't change."
Good thing we haven't then, I guess.

Claire frowned spilt blood that was a new one she had never heard before. There was something strange going on here, everyone new that pharse and couldn't get it mixed up with such an interesting image.
Claire laughed "Spilt blood? That a erm ... interesting image." She said slowly.
"Well there's that other saying "A vampire can't pull out it's teeth or the classic one a leapord can't change it's spots right?"

Victoria chuckled, playing it off as if she didn't notice the doubt in Claire's words. She waved her hand slightly as if she was brushing the matter away, despite the fact that she was still preparing herself to address it. She shrugged slightly in preparation.
"I'm always doing that. I blame my mother. She always said all those old sayings with switched words. For the better part of my childhood I thought it was, 'I have a pea to pick with you' rather than 'I have a bone to pick with you.' I guess she got it from 'two peas in a pod' or something. She always was a bit crazy," justified Victoria with a reassuring nod. "But yeah. It is a bit of a disgusting image, isn't it? In Port Angeles I knew this homophobic. She probably would have just fainted if I would have said that around her. Poor thing." And now Victoria was officially ranting. Oh, the joys of making of a good cover up story. One of the many was at a certain point your imagination begins to run away with you and your mouth doesn't know when to stop. Not to mention your tales begin to stumble of the edge of fantasy and reality.
Victoria looked at the girl with scrutiny. She had never heard anything anything of that sort about vampires. Was it a trap of sorts? Did the human suspect something? Not that it would be a difficult problem to remedy, at least. Just a quick little bite and an easy meal.
"I can't say that I've ever heard that one. And you thought spilt blood was odd. But I'd imagine that would be rather painful. Pulling teeth, that it. Especially with a vampire's being so sharp and all."
One of these days she would learn how to shut up.

Claire laughed "I didn't say disgusting I said interesting."
"Oh well I'm on this website about vampires where peple can talk to each other, that was one of the saying made up by us. And I would think it would be sore getting teeth pulled."
She looked at Victoria, "Doyou know any va,pire ways that aredifferent from the usual ones, I'm getting bored of all the usual ones where vampire's can't eat garlic or die in sunlight, any stories from where you used to live?"

"Well, I think it's disgusting," retorted Victoria with a staged shiver as if the thought of blood made her grimace in disgust. However, the truth was far from that idea as the mere thought of warm blood gushing down her throat made venom production increase drastically as it burned down her dry throat.
"In Poland they bury people face down to prevent the vampires from leaving their graves. I guess they think the blood thirty creatures won't know up from down or something," Victoria stated in a considerably dull voice while chuckling slightly at the recollection. It had been a long time since she had been to Poland. She had only lived there on one occasion (Although she had traveled through its boundaries several times), but she didn't have a downpour of bad memories from it. Well, it at least wasn't as bad as China; she didn't exactly blend in well there, especially with her vampire-like qualities. At first the attention had been favorable, but toward the end of her stay, Victoria realized the stares and looks of awe were doing her more bad than good. She didn't even last a month there, but those were her days of mostly nomadic living before crossing paths with James and Laurent. Some days she missed them, but for the most part she preferred James's company.
Needless to say, Victoria wasn't particularly fond of the current conversation avenue the human was pursuing. As innocent as the gesture might have been, it still but the orange-haired vampire slightly on edge to talk about her species. But it wasn't like Hollywood portrayed vampires in a matter that was even relatively close to the truth. Not to mention, the standard vampire's Hollywood threw around didn't resemble much to anything to Victoria. Maybe criminals, con artists or just a person you wouldn't want to be in a dark alley with, but not with the trench coat wearing, handsome male vampires that were only interested in seducing women.

Claire laughed at the thought of burying a vampire face down. She sighed and leaned back in her chair. "I'd love to be a vampire." She whispered.
She shook her head and tried to focus on the teacher. She knew if she thought about it too much and would start rambling about being an evil vampire. She shuddered, like she did with Rose.

"Oh, me too. Me too," answered Victoria with perhaps a little too much conviction, but at a topic starter such as that, she just couldn't help it. A slight grin framed her red lips at the direction the human girl had steered the conversation. Now, this was something Victoria could talk about for hours on end. Perhaps not with a human, but it was nonetheless a topic that the orange-haired vampire had plenty to say over. After all, it was hard for someone, when they fed from human blood, to not develop at least a small god complex and for them to start thinking that they are superior to any other species. Therefore, why wouldn't anyone want to be a member of a species that is so high in the animal hierarchy?
"My friends say I'm power hungry," began Victoria with a feigned attitude of innocence. Her eyes trailed to the empty table as her fingers pressed lightly against the wooden table so many other teenagers had carved messages into. She laughed softly for a moment, as if brushing the comment off. Her burgundy eyes flew back up to the human girl sitting across from her. "But who isn't right? I don't think I'd like the whole idea of killing humans to continue living."
Oh, what a lie. To bad this girl will never know just how satisfying the rushing of blood below a vampire's fingertips is. Waiting for a kill is almost as good as that moment when one reaches their breaking point and their will to drag out the event falters.
"You probably think I'm insane," admitted Victoria, again, feigning slight embarrassment. Her right hand went to the side of her face, as if she was shielding it in shame. Most acute eyes wouldn't even notice how -although every other action screamed embarrassment- Victoria's cheeks didn't turn red, but then again, what vampire's did?

Claire smiled, "Oh Victoria," She laughed, "If your insane god help us all. I for one would relish at the chance of drinking, killing, oh the power."
She galnced over at Victoria who was hiding her face in what seemed like shame. "Victoria, don't you think I should be hiding my face. I sit here and imagine myslef killing the people in front of me, killing my teachers. If anyone should be ashamed it's me not you, for crying out loud."
She smiled warmly then changed her features into a smirk, one that showed her teeth. She laughed and turned her attentionf orward. Waiting to be laughed at.

Victoria couldn't fight the chuckle that escaped softly from her lips. It was soft as a heavy breath of air, but audible to those around her. Lucky for her, it could easily be passed off as an amused sound or even the sort of noise one makes when they don't know what else to say. However, neither of this two logical conclusions was true. Instead, the chuckle that emerged from Victoria's pursed crimson lips was one of reflection. Had she ever met a human with such a zeal for vampires? Mind you, the orange-haired creature didn't exactly go out in search of humans of any kind, except those whose blood would be particularly appetizing beneath her greedy lips, but it still seemed slightly odd that she hadn't crossed paths with this sort of person beforehand.
Maybe we're trying to fit in too hard. Well, succeeding too well, at least, mused Victoria as her critical burgundy eyes judged the human in front of her with an acuteness only a member of the undead can possess. Trying to fit in with the wrong crowd, that is. It wasn't news to Victoria that on more occasions than one she struck fear and awe in the hearts of humans (Not to mention she was sure of such a fact since she could hear the constant fluttering of their hearts if she was close enough and paying enough attention.), but wouldn't it serve her purpose better if she played up such attributes? Of course, with the small population of Forks such an idea was rendered useless, but if such an experience as the coven was undergoing at the moment ever reoccurred in a larger city, it would be a decent idea. That is, fitting in with a more dangerous crowd. The only down fall to such an idea is that that would require actual effort.
"You're an odd one," commented Victoria with a slight smirk.

"Odd, freek, geek, the usual for me. I guess it's because I don't fit it that people either ignore me or pick on me." Claire shrugged. She was ever so slightly hurt but she didn't let it show, she didn't think Victoria meant it in meanness.
"Ever since I've moved here like nearly a year ago, I just can't let go of the past where I was probably one of the most popular girls in school. And I didn't care if they were after Addy's money, I had friends and they worshipped me there, but here, it's Cullens this, Cullens that. I've just given up all hope of fitting it."
She blushed deep red "Sorry for rambling on." She murmmered. She rested her forehead on the table looking down at her shoes, they were nice shoes they sparkled in the sun. She lifted her head up and stared blankly at the teacher.
