Let's build a rocket to the moon
Just you and I
We could start a whole new world up there
Leave our past behind
Rosalie was waiting. Some people might call it hiding as she stayed tucked in her shared bedroom with the lights turned off and in utter silence. It wasn't enough to fool any vampire who actually wanted to see her, but it was enough to get the message across; Rosalie wasn't in the mood to entertain, not that she ever was. No, the blond vampire only wanted, or rather needed, to speak with one person, and that certain creature had alluded her (Although Rosalie constantly reminded herself that the odds of Emmett actually avoiding her were low, and that it had been her that hadn't returned to their bedroom for the past three nights and had chosen instead to spend them in the garage.) for what seemed like weeks. In reality, Rosalie was sure it had only been a couple of days, if even that, but it didn't matter to Rosalie's confounded mind.
In sharp contrast to the eerily quiet bedroom, Rosalie's mind was attacked by waves of thoughts. Too much was happening at once for the beautiful vampire to comprehend properly. She wasn't completely sure who she was supposed to be mad at anymore or rather who to be more angry with. There was Edward with his annoying human thing. James, Victoria and Laurent who were most defiantly plotting something; that much had been evident from when Rosalie had accidentally crossed James path while both had been hunting. Although his threats on her family's and her own life hadn't made much of an impression on Rosalie, she was sure that James wasn't just sitting idle. On top of which -and probably the even that stabbed the deepest, as childish as it seemed- Irina had proclaimed to be in love with a human. It was bad enough that Edward was blindly infatuated with Isabella Swan, but Irina falling for a human wasn't comprehensible. To Rosalie, it was as absurd as Emmett falling in love with a human.
The thought brought her back to the present and made her aware of just how dark their bedroom was. The sun had long ago disappeared from the sky which meant that, if luck was on Rosalie's side, her husband would be returning home soon. Emmett always had a soothing effect on the beautiful vampire. Not to mention it was always nice to be simply around him for the fact that he could make almost anything into a joking matter.
She just needed a release.
It’s an emptied handed promise
From my heart to my conscious
That says one day I will make this count
The best that I know how
