With our backs against the wall And maybe our shadows aren't that tall Is this what it takes to make you think I can't believe it...
Victoria lounged in the small house James, Laurent and Victoria occupied, only now their numbers had grown to include Tori, Jamie, Freddy and Spencer. Needless to say, Victoria was feeling cramped in the small house for the simple reason that previously she hadn't known any boundaries. Now, there were four more bodies stumbling around the house, although the idea of having new toys vampires to play with with an exciting thought. Victoria barely knew the new additions to the coven's scheme, but she had a good feeling as a whole. Things were shaping up to be interesting to say the least.
The orange-haired vampire basked in the silence while sometimes filling the atmosphere with her sing-song mocking voice. She knew it wouldn't last long; lately, it seemed as if it never did, but at least now she didn't have to endure the tortured screams. That was by far one of the worse things she had ever heard. In fact, Victoria had had to practically live outdoors while the four newborns transformed. Not because she was sympathetic to what the newborns were going through but rather because Victoria didn't like the intrusive noise that she was directly inflicting. Unlike when her victims screamed in their last moments of life, it was more of an interruption than entertainment.
Victoria lounged in her chair comfortably with her feet propped up, her arms crossed over her stomach and her orange hair a vicious flame fanned out behind her head. The newborns were a constant topic on her mind over the past few days. In was vital to keep them away from any negative outside influences -such as the Cullens- at this point in their long lives. After all, being a newborn was what Victoria considered one of the more vulnerable points in a vampires life, and James, Victoria or Laurent didn't need their knew surprise weapons turning traitor on them.
By now, you should've figure out That everything you believe It was overconfident So take my hand and let me lead you To where we feel...

Tori leaned against a beam of the house, looking at he feral captor with no animosity in her eyes. It would do no good to be angry at Victoria now. Even if she attempted fighting her, the vampire was more used to her heightened strength and abilities. Tori might have a few upper hands, but she couldn't compete with Victoria just yet. In any case, she was impractically curious, for all her other practicalities. She wanted to know what she was doing for these two, and what they had wanted with her and her friends in particular. She turned her too bright scarlet eyes to Victoria's. "You rang?" she stated, calmly, and even though sarcasm was implied you couldn't have detected it in her aria of a voice.

Jamie slipped quietly into the room, utterly silent and saying nothing, for the time being. She leaned against the wall on the far side of the room, folded her arms lightly across her chest and crossed her feet. As usual, her dark hair was left as a loose curtain but she made no effort to push it away. She simply stared across the room at Victoria with a somewhat calculative expression upon her face. She wondered vaguely what made this creature do the things she did. And would it really be so difficult to overthrow her? Still, the smart thing to do would be to be quiet and to wait. Not to draw any negative attention towards herself. And so that was what she planned to do.

Victoria smiled one of her twisted grins at Tori's comment. Not so much because it amused her, but rather because the presence of the new vampires was entertaining when it wasn't irritating. Besides, she was particularly fond of Tori and Spencer but not because of any remarkable personality trait or gift. Instead, Victoria devoted her attention to the pair because she felt a certain amount of possessive nature over them. After all, as far as Victoria could see it, they were her creations and therefore her own personal pawns. Sure, they were created for the use of the coven as a whole, but Victoria still saw them as her own. Worse of all, Spencer and Tori were like puppies to her: hardly worthy of any respect but in need of serious training, which, surprisingly enough, was something Victoria intended to do at some point. The orange-haired vampire wasn't going to have her newborns lead astray after all. The Cullens could prove to be a powerful force of temptation when they chose to be.
When Jamie entered the room and lingered on the wall, Victoria's twisted expression fell slightly. Jamie didn't hold nearly as much interest to Victoria as Tori. Instead, Victoria thought of Jamie -although not as much as Freddy with his overly arrogant attitude- as a nuisance. Just like Laurent, one could never tell just what sort of trap a creature with that sort of silver tongue was leading them into. It put Victoria on edge slightly.
"Hello, Tori," Victoria practically sang although her voice was set in a tone one usually reserved for young children. "You don't look happy. A little ungrateful, are we?" commented Victoria, her words jumping from thought to thought. She was implying, of course, that Tori wasn't content being a vampire, which was a serious offense in the orange-haired vampire's book.
"And Jamie," added Victoria with a slight pause as she glanced toward the vampire who was pressed against the wall. "I don't bite you know. You don't have to cling to the wall." The orange-haired vampire giggled cruelly: a sound that would forcibly remind the two vampires in the room that Victoria did, in fact, bite.

Spencer walked in on edge. He didn't like walking down the streets durng the day. The smell of humans was to great. He felt like he almost would have eaten right there on the road. But, good thing the street wasn't very busy today. He slipped into the room and sat on a sofa. On the end, farthst away from Victoria. He wasn't exactly used of having her around. And it was a small comfort that Jamie and Freddy got turned, aswell. Sure, he enjoyed having his friends. But, he didn't want them to go through this too. "Hello, Jamie and Tori." He paused for a moment's hesitation. "And Victoria." The words slithered out ofhis mouth. Almost forced. He hated this woman for what she did to them.

Tori stiffened. Ungrateful? It was an honest surprise that Victoria would think that, even if she had known it was coming. Ungrateful...ungrateful. The word sounded odd in her mind. She could be ungrateful for many things: the intense pain of transformation, the loss of her innocence, the loss of her mortality...but in the end, she had come to like her new species. Everything felt new, stronger. Each touch was refined, every color a new shade brighter. She could regret her immortality or embrace it, and since regret would only be a detriment to her new life, she went with the latter.
She didn't like Victoria. She could live with her, tolerate her, follow her orders. After all, hostility was a friend to those in command. Victoria was who she was and Tori wasn't going to attempt to change her or psychoanalyze her: to the truly disturbed both of these were only an annoyance. She'd reconciled herself to her fate as what she was: a bloodsucking monster. She could spend time sobbing tearlessly about it later, when she wasn't being watched by the feral burgundy eyes in the haunting face before her. She raised her head to answer to the catlike vampire.
"Ungrateful? Why so? I seem to find myself beautiful and superhuman, so what is there not to be grateful for?" She could focus on witicisms later. She knew Victoria was not to be toyed with.

James had been out huntng all day. He walked down the familiar road with ease. He licked the small blood stains, that lingered on his teeth. And they went away. He couldn't risk a human identifying it, for what it really was. Or, there would be suspision. And, there was already new suspision. With four new people, going to and from their little home. Not many people knew what to think about them. Beautiful people flocking about their house.
James entered the small home happily. He smelt his newborns being there, all the way from the forest. Their smell was just intoxicating. Different from every other smell around this town. "So, how are all of you doing? I hope you're playing nice Victoria."

Laurent was lounging in the small area that he called a room, when he heard James come in. He was particuarlly bored today, and he wasnt thirsty enough to go hunting, so maybe james would have something to do. Or maybe he could have some fun with one of the new borns perhaps a wrestling match with one of the males. He hopped it would storm soon then maybe they could round up the whole new coven, and play a game of baseball. He silently got up from where he was sitting, and walked into the living room where he saw James talking to Victoria who was just lounging around. "So how was hunting, get anything good" he asked in a casual voice

Freddy entered the tiny house and found that his whole, entire "family" was already there. All in the living room. The ever present smirk widened. He glided to one of the ratty arm chairs close to Victoria. "Hello all...hi Victoria." Since night had fallen last evening, Freddy had been roaming the streets. This house is much too stuffy for me. As much as he loved his friends, he couldn't handle another second in this place without a breather. And when he thought of a breather, he thought about the two young girls he had drank from in an alley way. Mmm, I wish I hadn't finished them so fast. Their blood was exquisite. His bright red eyes fell on each face. They stopped on Jamie. Always the shy one. "So...Victoria, what did you do all day? Lounge around?" His eyes moved to the orange-haired woman. Annoying her was one of his favorite past-times. Freddy's eyes moved, towards the couple this time. Tori and Spencer. "Why the sour look, Spencer?" Freddy could tell that he was unhappy, ever since what had happened to them. Freddy didn't mind so much being a vampire. He was even more dashing, stronger. He felt that this was a gift rather then a curse. The constant burn in his throat was the only, minor inconvenience.

"I always play nice, Jamesy," responded Victoria automatically with fake innocence as the vampire she adored so much entered the small living room. He was shortly followed by Laurent, an old coven mate that Victoria had always regarded as more of a brother than anything. Consequently that often resulted in many child-like feuds that were more often than naught fueled by Victoria. However, presently she didn't hold any grudge against the vampire. The living room was quickly becoming cramped, but the orange-haired vampire didn't mind too terribly as long as their numbers didn't contain one particularly annoying individual. The one particularly annoying vampire that her own mate had created. However, of course, that didn't remain a possible hope for long as Freddy, Victoria's current biggest annoyance, entered the group and sat at quite possibly the nearest place to her. Victoria fought back the urge to push the nuisance that was Freddy away and onto the floor.
Retorts had become such an automatic thing in the past. It was an action that almost required no thought these days. However, with Freddy her mind quickly became tangled in the pure annoyance she had for the creature and finding ways to humiliate him suddenly became a tricky process. Even when Freddy wasn't doing anything unbearable, Victoria found it difficult to focus on anything but his latest arrogant remark of irritating comment. Consequently, this made her prone to fits of anger when she was seemingly unprovoked.
"Avoided you," Victoria bit back, which wasn't too close to the truth. In reality, Freddy had hit the nail on the head with the assumption that she had lounged around all day. "And until now, I was having plenty of success. So maybe you should leave and I can keep trying."

She snorted very quietly to herself. The tension between Victoria and Freddie would never cease to amuse her. She lifted her head and spoke clearly to him, she moved closer to Spencer and took his hand. "It seems you have gotten no less annoying, Freddie." I smiled and laughed, unafraid of what Victoria might do to me. If she killed me, it would only be a favor. I didn't want to live out forever. My only wish is that I didn't leave Spencer alone. I wasn't sure...as long as Jamie was here to help him then maybe, maybe I could die in peace.

Laurent jumped across the room to sit on the side of Victorias arm, chair, and prop his feet up on spencer. It was funny to watch these two fight, and argue, but it was also very annoying, especially when it got to out of hand. So he would be the peace maker, and make sure she didnt kill him, after all he was only a newborn..

"Avoided me? Well there's no fun in that. Arg, Victoria, you're no fun at all," he said then he turned to Tori. "Tori, Tori. Sweet, sweet Tori. You know me too well. How has yours and Spencer's day been? Good I hope." Freddy knew that Tori disliked this lifestyle of feeding off of humans. He couldn't see why though. If she wasn't with Spencer... His thought trailed off as his eyes quickly roamed over Tori. Freddy had too much being a vampire. His eyes watched as Laurent jumped next to Victoria. "What about you mate? How was your day?" His question referred to Laurent. Freddy, though only listened to James, respected Laurent. He was clearly the most level-headed of the three nomads.

"Not really Laurent. Only a few meager hikers. Not many people are out today." He said with dissatisfaction. He was hoping to have a large meal today. He hadn't eaten in a while. To busy making sure the newborns didn't go out of control. But, it seems the are in more control than James thought would be possible. Port Angelles was still standing. That was all that really mattered. Besides, not attracting the Volturi.
James reached for a stool in the kitchen and dragged it next to Victoria's chair. He sat next to her. "Well, this is rare. All of us here. Well, besides Jamie, but we are usually all over the place. And this reminds me, we really need to get a bigger house." James looked towards Laurent. "Are you in for maybe a Bank Heist? We don't exactly have a lot of money anymore. And I think doing that would get us enough money for a bigger place, and push all expenses back a few years." He said nodding. James didn't even think about bringing one of the Neborns with them. To risky. They needed stealth for this mission. Which, the newborns didn't have. Yet, anyway.

Hmmmm a bank heist Laurent pondered on this thought for a moment a chance to have some fun... "I'm doing quite fine freddy thanks for asking" he said with a dazziling smile toward the young newborn, as he got slowly to his feet, and looked around their small cramped house. A bank heist would buy a bigger house perhaps a 2 story where everyone could have their own room, except for the couples who would of course be sharing a room. "Well we would need to work out the details for the bank heist, should we do a distraction deal, and rip it out from underneath them in front of their noses, or go in at night, and rip the place apart, also if we buy a house it would have to be the usual, you and victoria would have to buy it from the realitors, and we would simply move in later, after all it would look odd this one big family moving into a new place" he paused for a second "Also I want a place in Seattle I mean its not like its hard for us to run to school"
