Cary was sitting in the gym. He slipped out of his last class, saying he wasn't feeling well. The bell rang. Cary smiled and made his way to the student parking lot. Cary thought the bell was a great sound. The end of the school day. He walked up to his bike. No one messed with it, as usual. The students didn't usually touch it, hich shocked him. At his old school, sometimes he had to wash grafitti off of it. He sat on the bike with his helmet in his lap. Now, he was waiting for Lyric.

Lyric had spent the past class period counting off the seconds until the bell rang. As usual, like any semi-sane highschooler. Except for those creepy kids whose lives revolved around school. Anyway, when the bell rang, she had nearly jumped out of her seat. Again, as per usual. Her last class of the day was one of the most boring, the teacher's voice being a monotone.
Thank God it's over She thought to herself. She hurried to the parking lot. But not to her car. Why? Because today she was going on a trip with a friend, Cary. It was odd. She rarely went out with her close friends, be cause they didn't invite her. And yet this boy who she had just met had asked her to go to Port Angeles with him? Very odd. But she wasn't complaining, considering that her evening plans has consisted of listening to music for the whole night.
She spotted him quickly. She walked over quickly, trying to not get run over by the over eager students trying to get out of the lot. "Hey," She said when she arrived in front of him.

Cary watched her walk over. Barely dodging cars going out of the parking lot. "Hey. You ready?" Cary asked. He already knew she was, but it was polite to ask he guessed. He slipped on his helmet and snapped it on. He just left his whole bag in his locker. He wasn't intending to do any homework tonight anyway.

"Of course,"She replied with a smile. She had dropped her bag off in her car before hand. She highly daoubted anyone would try and steal her car. It wasn't that nice. And besides, having her canvas bag with her until they dropped by her home would just be an utter nuicance.

"All right." Cary cranked the motorcycle to life. It started up with a nice low hum. "Hold on tight. I don't want you t die the first I take you riding." He laughed. Cary pulled out of the lot and began going smoothly along the roads. He didn't risk going to fast. The roads had rain on them and he didn't want them to slid off the road.
After a few minutes they were at Cary's house. He killed the bike's engine. And snapped off his helmet. He set it on his handlebars. "You can come in if you want." Cary began unlocking the door.

"Ehm..Okay,"Lyric said, getting off the bike slowly. This was mainly because of the fact she had very little balance when she wasn't on her feet, and this included getting off of things. The bush and tree incidents were solid proof of that. Granted, she had been on a bike those times, but still.

Cary opened the door and left it open for Lyric. The house was a mess. Pots with food still on the stove, dirty dishes all over the kitchen, and all of the usual stuff. He sighed. He didn't really care what Lyric thought about him, but he would have rathered her not think less of him. He took a sheet of paper and wrote. 'Out. Be back tonight.' and set it on the counter. Hopefully his parents would see it. He shrugged and walked to his room. He had posters set up all over the place. And guitar stuff laying all around. "Well not exactly the nicest of rooms." He laughed.

" Mine's not any better. There's just more sheet music and stuff all over the place," She replied with a wry chuckle. The chaos of his home was strangely calming. She had no clue why. Maybe because her house used to be that way and she missed it. Or maybe just because she was one of those people who found peace within chaos. Who knows? She didn't actually mind it that much.

Cary laughed. "I suppose." He shrugged. He reached under a jacket and pulled out another sleek black helmet. "Well, now it's time toget to your house." He grinned as he handed her the helmet. He walked back outside and sat back on his bike. "Could give me some directions?" He asked as he slipped on his helmet. "I have no idea where anyone lives."

Lyric put on the helmet, knowing it most likely looked ridiculous on her. She smiled slightly as she tried to picture how she looked right now. It was impossible. She wasn't necessarily so good at picturing things.
" That's alright. I have no clue where anyone lives either, and I've lived here my entire life. My house is two streets to your right, the third one on your left," Lyric replied, sitting behind him on the motorcycle.

"All right." Cary cranked the engine. It lowered to a soft purr. He went out slowly. And he quickly picked up speed. He went through her directions and pulled up to a house. He hoped it was the right. "This is it, I suppose?" He asked having no clue.

"Yep,"Lyric responded, as she got off the bike to unlock the door. She had noticed that a] there was no car in the driveway, and b] all the lights were out in the two-story, white washed house. Using her wonderful skills or perception, and knowing that today was her parent's anniversery, she assumed that her mom and dad went out somewhere to dinner. So therefore, her keys would be needed. But her keys were in her bag...in her car. So she had to get the key from inside the flowerpot.
After retriveing the almighty back-up key, Lyric unlocked her front door. "Home sweet home,"She muttered under her breath."Come in," She said to Cary.

"All right. . " Cary shrugged. He took off his helmet and laid it on his bike. He looked up, admiring the huge house. Two stories. Cary was used to apartments in New York. The biggest he ever lived in was what he was in now. "Nice house." Cary said following her in. "Big."
