It was late in the night. Lysander was walking around the forest near his house, hands in his pocket. He wasn't planning on hunting tonight. His eyes were still topaz-colored from his last hunt, albeit a bit darker considering the fact that the last time he hunted was two days ago. Lysander was deep in thought, planning out his date with Adriana. Idea upon idea flew through his mind.
A smell hit his nose. It wasn't unfamiliar, but still... Lysander's fingers touched the necklace in his pocket and he knew instantly whose scent it was that hit him. Sasha. Lysander had sided with Sasha in Dimitri's predicament. But Dimitri has asked him to give the necklace to her and that was what he was going to do.

Sasha wandered the woods aimlessly. She hadn't been to Forks for days. She smelled Lysander's approach before she heard him. What could he possibly want? Sasha thought, annoyed.
Soon enough, he approached her from behind a tree.
"Why are you here?"

"You look irritated," Lysander said. "No offence." Lysander fingers touched the necklace in his pocket again. "Here? We happen to be a little under half a mile from my place of residence and I needed some quiet time. I should be asking you the same question."

"What I'm doing is none of your business," Sasha responded quietly.
Her voice was weak and trembled a bit.
"Please, just tell me why you are here..."

"I wasn't looking for you or following you or anything like that. I came here on my own terms and for my own reasons, none of which involve you. But...a few nights ago I talked with Dimitri. He told me what had happened. And I'm not going to say anything about it whether I'm on your side or not because you probably wouldn't care what I say," he said coldly. "He gave me something to give to you." Lysander reached into his pocket and took out the Star of David necklace Dimitri had given to him. "He told me to give it to you when he's not around anymore."

Sasha's heart sank as she reached out to take the necklace.
Once it was in her hand, Sasha fell to her knees, gasping for air she didn't need.
"No," she whispered. Sasha shook her head furiously.
"He can't do this. I won't let him."

Lysander bent his knees to the ground, holding Sasha's shoulders. "You know what to do, don't you? You have to stop him from fighting James. James is a human-drinking vampire, part of Victoria's coven. He has a slight upper hand on Dimitri." Even though Lysander and Dimitri relationship started on the rocks, he didn't want him to be destroyed. It wasn't right.

"Yes, I know what I have to do," Sasha said as she looked into Lysander's eyes.
Her course of action suddenly became so clear to her. It seemed to be the only way. Sasha put the star around her neck and rose to her feet.
"Thank you Lysander," she said quietly. " Please tell Dimitri... I love him."
And with that, Sasha turned quickly and disappeared into the trees.

"You're welcome and I'll tell him." Lysander watched until her body became nothing more then a speck in the darkness. He doubled back to his ominous looking, empty house. I hope they'll be okay.
