This is not the end
This is just the beginning
And don't you know everything we want
Is within our reach at fingertips length
We fought nonstop to make these nights our own
Now no one can take them away
Victoria worked her way around the trees in a rather carefree manner. She was off the path and enjoying herself for the most part. Well, not enjoying herself in the same fashion most people would consider enjoyable but close enough. Her pale, cold hands, that truthfully could destroy each plant she touched in just a couple of blows, pressed gently against the rough bark of each tree as she passed. Like a little child on a playground, Victoria swung her body around the trunk of each tree like a small child would swing around a pole and use their own force to propel themself forward squealing. It was an odd thing to do to pass the time, but after decades of living in the almost constant boredom of human society, Victoria was gradually running out of things to do. Nonetheless, as a general rule of thumb the orange-haired vampire tended to be rather gifted at finding ways to entertain herself, and today would eventually prove no different.
Victoria stopped mid swing as the bark began to form indentations in her palm, but the pain a human would have felt wasn't what made her stop in her tracks, or rather swing. It was the breeze that had danced its way between the trees and consequently met Victoria's nose like an attacking troop with its enemy. However, Victoria wasn't the victim in this scenario since she was prepared for such a scent and delighted in the delicious aroma. She was in between hunger with dark crimson eyes that would eventually fade to black. If she managed to not tempt herself, the burgundy would remain for anywhere from the rest of the day to a couple more days (Victoria wasn't the best with will power, and she had quite the hearty appetite.), however the prospect of just following the different human scents was an alluring one.
Only moments later, Victoria's legs were moving quickly toward the regular path that many humans were currently wandering. Automatically, Victoria began to scrutinize each human with an eye only that a member of another species could have. It was an entertaining event as she tried to read into just how their actions correlated with what their thoughts resembled. Some were easier to follow. For instance, a blush meant an embarrassing blunder or thought and the humans normally looked toward the subject of their thoughts if the case was the latter.
Maybe I'll find my next meal. . .
Hands in the air
No one make a sound
While you're in despair, we'll have our ears to the ground
Listening for the pulse that just might drive these hearts tonight
And I know we won't make it out alive
((Until We Get Caught by Hit the Lights))
This is just the beginning
