Anna Williams walked to the park, in Forks. Much like the rest of Forks, it was green. Trees and high grass, that was pretty much it. Sure, thee were a few benches and a small pond, but what did it really matter? Today was one of those days, for Anna. One of those days, when you were just in a horrible mood, and not even a puppy would be able to cheer you up.
Anna walked over to a bench and sat down, on it. She sighed and opened her bag, taking out her homework and a pencil. She tried to do it, but was to agry. Anger was something that couldn't be distracted by homework. Which frustrated her. She dumped her belongings back into her bag and just sat on the bench.
Anna looked out into the small, pond. There were two ducks swimming in it, one slightly bigger than the other. She saw that there were a few little kids, midgets, as Anna liked to call them, when she was so angry. They were feeding the ducks, little pieces of bread. She sighed and tried to concentrate on anything but her rage.

Adriana needed to be away from her house for just a bit. And she wasn't going to deny that lately she'd been more comfortable in Forks than in La Push. She simply wasn't one of them the way the rest of them were--her and Embry, the two Quileute half-bloods with the unknown fathers. What peas in a pod they were.
Unknowing, her foot jammed into a crack in the sidewalk. She went flying embarrasingly, all five-foot-eleven inches of her sprawled over the ground.
She sat up slowly, doing bruise check. She had the beginnings of two nasty ones under scrapes on her shins, some messed up hands, but her knees were the worst, torn up like concrete tears up knees. Sighing, she sat down on the bench next to a girl and smiled sourly. "Just my luck."

Lyric was in a thoughtful mood. She had just watched Rent, which is a wonderful musical, but it made her think about life. She had cried when Angel died, of course, because Angel was her facorite character. Sighing, Lyric tucked a lock of auburn hair behind her ear, revealing her three piercings. She drew her hoodie around her tighter.
As she walked doen to the park, her house not being that far away, she hummed the second song in the movie 'Rent'. She had loved that song, possibly because it had such a true opening;Ho do you docuument real life when real life's getting more like fiction each day? Mark Cohen had made a spectacular point there.
Lyric saw the girl fall down, and jogged over, to make sure she was okay. It was normally her who tripped in public.
"Hey, are you al right,"She asked when she had arrived.

Adriana chuckled a little bit at the girl. "Yeah, I'm fine. My pride's a little sore, you know?" she smiled. She looked down at her scraped-up knee. "Well, that's embarrassing." She smiled. "It's an awkward way to introduce yourself, but I'm Adriana. Girl Who Falls."

Anna looked up, as she finally realized that there were more people, and that one of them was sitting next to her, nursing her scraped knee. Anna took a moment, to put together what her face’s expression revealed. She managed a sympathetic look, “Ouch,” she said, “Are you okay? I’m sorry I didn’t realize you were there sooner, I was sort of off in my own little world…you know?” she added.
That part was true, Anna had been deep in thought, and not really paying attention to anything. But how she could just zone out, when someone had tripped and then sat down, next to her, she didn’t understand.
“I’m Anna.” Anna said, introducing herself. What else am I supposed to do? she asked herself. But then she remembered the first aid kit, she always carried it with her, because she was always drawn to accidents. She grabbed her bag and started searching for it.
Finally Anna found a small, plastic container. She popped the lid off it and turned over the different objects in there. Tweezers, band-aids, disinfectant, a needle, and a cigarette lighter. She took out the disinfectant and a band-aid. Then she handed them to the girl, who, apparently, was called Adriana. “Maybe this’ll help.” She said as she gave them to her.
“Do you fall often?” Anna asked, trying to be friendly. She knew she fell often, most of the time it didn’t do much damage, just her confidence got bruised. And then, there was one time, she fell out of a tree and broke her left arm, right leg, and several ribs. And that wasn’t even the worse accident she had.

Adriana looked up at the new girl. She smiled. "Yeah, I'm fine. Really, I fall a lot too." She took the disinfectant and band-aid gladly. "Hey, thanks!" she said, truly grateful. She held out a hand for the girl to shake. "Anna? That's pretty. I'm Adriana." She hissed slightly as she put on the disinfectant. "Do you always carry first-aid around with you? Don't get me wrong, it's dead useful, but it seems like kind of a drag."

"Adriana, that's pretty, too." Anna said, "I don't carry my first aid pack everywhere." she said.
"I just got here, from school. I carry my first-aid kit in my bag, otherwise I don't have it. Normally when I don't have it, I need it." Anna added, with a sheepish grin.

Adriana laughed. "Yeah, I know that feeling," she said, putting the bandaid over her scrape. She looked up. "So, you must go to Forks, I guess...no, I'm not a stalker, but it's not like there's a lot of options. I go to La Push, and I haven't seen you around. How do you like it here? I'm assuming that since I haven't known you since childbirth that you're new here," she said, smiling wryly.
{i'm assuming there shall be some mentioning of lysander? if not, that's cool too.}

"Oh, yeah. I go to Forks High. I was thinking about transferring to La Push, actually." Anna informed her. "La Push is so much nicer. Nice people, nice school, nice beaches, nice forest. It seems like a better deal." she said, smiling.
"Yeah," Anna said, "I'm pretty new. Moved here about three weeks ago. I moved from Georgia, so far I'm missing the sun. But, hanging out at La Push helps me with that." she said, smiling again.

Adriana smiled. "Yeah, La Push is pretty nice," she said. "Wow Georgia?" She whistled. "Yeah, I'd miss the sun too." She smiled. "Made any new friends? You're bound to be a huge source of talk, new people here are practically worshipped."

Anna laughed, "Worshipped?" she repeated, laughing again, "My first day was more like 'Attack of the Klutzilla'." she said. "And I haven't made that many friends...I've talked to a few people. Lysander, the person in the Detention room, Amber, Dimitri. A few...oh! And Jacob Black, you probably know him. We're kind of friends." she added.
Anna remembered the time she fell out of a tree and the other time when she dunked him under water. But she refused to even think about the uncormfortable time he had saved her from a bunch of drunken men at Port Angeles, the talk they had was to horrible to even think about.

Adriana looked at her seriously. "Yeah. Worshipped," she said, deadpan, before cracking up. She smiled. "Only in Forks would I actually know all the people you're talking about." She smiled at the thought of Lysander, her eyes warming into butterscoth at the thought. And Jake...her heart warmed even more, to boiling. "Yeah, Jake probably counts as one of me best friends," she said, thinking of the night in the woods they'd spent as furry cohorts. "I know Dimitri and Lysander...Lysander is, uh, well, he's my boyfriend." She wondered if the girl know only one of her acquaintences was human. And Lysander...referring to the gorgeous immortal as boyfriend seemed almost an insult, when she was intent on spending eternity with him. Sometimes she had to thank all the vampires for this werewolf thing--without it, she couldn't stay with Lysander forever. If she just never stopped phasing. She sighed. It was the worst impasse--to be with him forever, she always had to be what he hated most. It was the worst part of her that would grant her the most happiness. Life seemed to be taking a page out of Cathy and Heathcliff's book.

“Really?” Anna said, then she bit her lip. “Maybe you could help me with something…then.” She said slowly, thinking of exactly what she was going to say. “Er…have you noticed…..he acts a little weird? I mean…well, one day he’s eyes were topaz and the next they looked like coal. Do you know if he’s got contacts?” she asked, feeling slightly embarrassed.
“And…also, he has mood swings. One minute we were talking about Othello and the next he looked angry at me and stormed off, do you know what’s up with that?” she asked her. She wasn’t going to mention how Jacob was avoiding her, now. That would seem a little weird, for all of her friends to be acting so freaky.

Adriana raised a single eyebrow. "You noticed that, then? Wow. You're observant." I wouldn't give away his secret...no, no, no. "Well, he's always had mood swings, he's just a moody guy. But his eyes...I don't know really, I've noticed it too. I haven't wanted to ask, you know? You have any theories? Because I'm out of explanations." I smiled, hopefully convincingly.

“Yeah, moody.” Anna repeated. “I hear men get moody when they’re hungry, maybe you should convince him to grab a snack, the next time he goes somewhere. No one likes a crabby person.” She informed her, hoping her tone sounded teasing, and that she wasn’t insulting Adriana by saying that about her boyfriend.
“Hmmm….” Anna said, as she thought of the explanation she blurted out at the small reading café in Forks, where she’d picked up Othello. “Well, I thought it was contacts.” She said, once again embarrassing herself because of her theory. “Some people like to change there hair color. One girl, at my old school, in Georgia, would dye her hair a different color every other day. One day it’ll be hot pink and the next she’ll be a red head. So maybe he just likes doing that…” she suggested, trying to explain it the best she could, by giving an example, though she thought it was pathetic and laughable one.
