Jacob stared at her, almost in disbelief. "You drove here? Isn't that like a friggen long way to drive?" He wondered. OKay, Jacob wasn't stupid. He KNEW it was a long drive. I guess if you can't afford a plane ticket.... he thought. Everything was so expensive anymore. It sucked, really. Jacob needed to get a real job (one that wasn't being someone's occasional mechanic).
"Oh boy. You're just a regular world traveler," Jacob joked. He didn't mean it rudely. He just meant it jokingly, like a friend would joke.

"Yeah, it took me a week and a half to get here." Anna agreed. "But, that's mostly because I'm a slow driver. I have to be very cautious, I'm a major danger magnet." she added. It was true, she remembered the time she tipped and knocked one person into another and into another, like a human domino.
"World traveler," Anna snorted, "Don't 'World Travelers' have to leave the continent of the U.S.?" she asked him, sarcastically.

"So it Bella," Jacob said without thinking. His cheeks turned bright red before he took a deep breath. "I'll have to teach you how to ride a motorcycle or something," he added. "I have a motorbike. I think it's one of my favorite hobbies." It truly was. Jacob didn't mention that he basically rebuilt the damned thing from scratch. Sure, it had been a motorbike... about a million years before Jacob got his hands on it.
"Whatever," Jacob laughed good naturedly. He didn't really care about terms like that. Anna was fun to be around.

Anna laughed, "I'm not that cordinated." she warned him. "I'd probably fall off the thing, before it's even turned on." she added. Then she laughed more.
"What're your other hobbies? Besides hiking, beating me at swimming, and riding a motorcycle that would most likely rip me to shreds, if I was ever within one hundred miles of it." Anna added.

"Do you think I'd ever let you get hurt?" Jacob wondered in awe. He would never let anyone intentionally get hurt at his feet. No, he'd do his best to make sure that Anna wouldn't kill herself. "Come on," he pleaded. "It could be fun. It doesn't have to be today, even. It could be some other day."
"You are one hundred miles of it," Jacob teased. His house wasn't that far away. "Nothing, I guess," Jacob said slowly. His days used to be full of Bella. Now they were full of nothing. "What about yours?"

"No, I trust you." Anna said, quickly. Then she sighed, "Fne. But only if you help me with one itsy bitsy thing I wanted to try." she added. A few days ago she'd seen something on the dirt road she was driving on, people jumping off a cliff. She'd heard them shouting and laughing about how much fun cliff diving was. She bit her lip. "Could you teach me how to cliff dive?" she asked him, smiling.
"In that case," Anna said, with a mischievous grin. “Oh no!” she said in a dramatic voice. She put the back of her hand over her forehead and formed her expression into a terrified one. “The motorcycle is going to start itself up and come after me,, now!” she said. And then she couldn’t help herself, she broke out laughing. “I do a lot of reading, on my apartment’s rooftop, mostly. And sometimes I do some sketches. Otherwise I like get beat by you in swimming competitions, getting ripped to shreds by your motorcycle, and, of course, hiking.” She said, once she was able to stop laughing.

Jacob listened to her words. It'd be fun to be teaching someone how to ride a motorbike. What would the price be to teach Anna? Ah, well... "Uhm...." Jacob shifted uncomfortably. His arms folded across his chest. "Can we start from lower down and work our way up? 'Cos Cliff Diving can be dangerous; it's not hard though. You just run and jump. It's a rush," he said with a grin evident in his voice, not only on his face.
Jacob snickered. Laughing came easy with Anna. "My motorcycle hasn't killed anyone....yet," joked Jacob stiffly. He rolled his eyes to show that he was just kidding. "I don't like reading," he said slowly, thinking it out. "I mean, it's okay, but it reminds me of school." Jacob pulled a face - he hated school.

"Well...I wasn't planning on starting up high. I just want to see what it's like." Anna explained. "Sound like...fun." she commented, thinking, again, about the boys she saw jumping from the cliff to the black, mischevious looking waters, below.
"Yet." Anna repeated. "I'm most likely going to be the first one to die because of your motorcycle." she teased. "Reading's awesome! Just find a book you like...I've read White Fang, maybe you'll like that. It's about a wolf cub." she told him.

"Okay, okay. I'll take you sometime," he promised with a grin. "There's some places that are only fifteen or so feet up. That's not that bad of a fall. We'll just have to look at the forecast and find a day when the waves won't kill you. It'll be fun," he agreed with a happy face.
"Doubtful," he responded. "I've taken Bella to the hospital a couple of times. But she's a klutz. Totally not my fault," he disagreed. "Not my bikes fault, either," he added. "Wolves are boring," he said, crossing his arms. Sure, sure, the Quileutes were supposed to have descended from them... but it didn't mean that he had to like them.

Anna swallowed. It was kind of hard to swallow the huge lump that was stuck in her throat, but she managed. “Kill?” she repeated. “Has anyone actually died from cliff diving?” she asked, a little bit scared, now.
Anna shrugged. “Damn klutziness! It makes all sorts of problems! Especially for girls.” She added. “But, that’s mostly because we twist are ankles trying to walk in six inch heels.” She explained. “Though I never risk wearing them, a disaster waiting to happen.” She said, shuddering.
“Not your bikes fault.” Anna laughed. “How can I be sure of that?” she asked, faking suspicion. “And wolves are not boring! I think they’re awesome! Very cool, the whole Alpha thing. Then there’s the Female Alpha, and the Beta. Of course, that’s just talking ranks.” She said, thinking about the book she’d read so long ago, and all the terms that were used in it.

Jacob thought about it, thinking hard. "Nawh, but someone almost drowned once. No big deal. I'll be there to save you, don't worry," Jacob said confidently. He was sure that the waves would be no problem for him to handle. Jacob was a strong swimmer. He could do it.
"Why do you need to wear six inch heels anyway?" Jacob tested her. "Everyone knows that men will be taller still. Men are the better sex, after all," he challenged. Yes, he was challenging her to contest that, though he knew that she wouldn't be able to beat him in a verbal battle. Jacob sometimes thought too highly of himself.
"Because go meet Bella Swan! She's even klutzier than you! She can't walk on two feet, let alone ride a motorbike. So, it wasn't my bikes fault that she had a habit of cracking her head open." He crossed his arms over his chest, a motion that made it clear he was done talking about Bella. "Oh, whatever. I'd totally be an Alpha," he said, thinking about how he was the natural "leader" of Embry and Quil.

“Yeah, like I need you to save me.” Anna teased. “I’ll have no problem swimming circles around you.” She added. She started picturing it in her head, jumping off a cliff and into violently black waters that would be no problems for her.
“Well, I don’t wear heels, at all. I’m thinking about the plastic blonds out there.” Anna assured him. She never did wear heels, she always wore sneakers or flip-flops. Nothing she could twist her ankle in. “That’s a pretty sexist comment!” she snapped at him. He might have just been teasing, but sexism was a delicate subject for her.
“Yes, because your so inspirational.” Anna said, sarcastically. “Loads of people would want to follow in your footsteps.” She said. “You’re a great role model.” She lied.

"Pfht, whatever. You can keep dreaming that," he said, sounding slightly cynical. It was all good, though. He didn't mean any harm in his cynicism. He was just... Jacob. Jacob Black was cynical long before Anna waltzed into his life. Okay - not long before... but... before. Ever since Bella found her lovely... boyfriend.
"Take a chill pill, Williams," he complained. He didn't need stupid girls complaining to him about how unfair life was. Jacob was confined to the lands of La Push, courtesy of the U.S. government. Sure, he was free to come and go, but he was well aware of the plight of his people... his tribe... and tribes like them. What about that was fair? Jacob was holding his ground - a little sexism never hurt anyone.
"Yeah, exactly," he said, ignoring her tone.

Issac walked through the woods into the clearing in his human form. It was an odd day for him. He stepped expertly without ever looking down. He felt as though it was too quiet. That was until he noticed another wolf by the smell of it. And a human. He stood in the shadows of the trees as he spoke
"Hello" he said softly.

Anna dramatically rolled her eyes. “We’ll see.” She said, and then she smirked. “And could you please cut the crap and quit with the sexist attitude?” she asked, he was really starting to get under her skin. Which might just be what he wanted…“Plus, it’s so obvious that your just doing it to get on my nerves.” She quickly added.
Anna spun around when she thought she heard a voice. “Did you hear something?” she asked Jacob, as her eyes darted around the surrounding forest, looking for whoever or whatever was hiding there. She could’ve sworn she’d heard someone say hello.
