Irina leaned against Rosalie's BMW, happy that the golden vampire was pretending to study with all the other students inside. She twisted the silver bracelet on her wrist, a simple contraption with a small heart in the center. It looked crude, but only because it was approximately one thousnd years old. Her mother had given it to her before she died...Irina'd never had the courage to throw it out.
She wondered if she should stilll be here, if she shouldn't have gone back to Alaska by now and apologized to Tanya. It seemed like she was doing more harm then good here anyways. Perhaps she would discuss it with Carlisle when she got home...if he wanted her here, if she was useful in this situatioon than she wold stay, for them.
That was the issue. She'd called it home. Other than her birthplace in medieval Kiev, she'd never referred to any other place as home. She swore to herself, looking at the bleak sunrise.
