Victoria resolved herself to simply observe for a long while. It was a task, with the aid of the slightly subdued action surrounding the orange-haired vampire, Victoria found she could complete with an odd amount of ease. The vampire, having considerably stronger senses than any average human, could notice small things that the ever oblivious humans couldn't. It was a very distracting process, paying attention to the most tedious details, that is.
With a grin that was the product of the human beside Victoria's fear (And rightly so. Listen to your instincts, girlie. Although, I dare say, it won't do you much good in the end.), Victoria's confidence began to grow. It's shocking what knowing you're in power can do to a person. The gasp that escaped the human girl's lips and the too fast beating of her heart brought a cruel smirk to Victoria's crimson lips. From her peripheral vision she watched Isabella Swan and the other unknown human girl converse: Victoria obviously being a topic that was shared between the two.
And a vampire for a admirer. Surely she knows I can hear her. . . Unless she doesn't know that he's. . . Her thoughts were scattered pieces as she made a new realization of a possibility. It would be something interesting to ponder over.
The timing couldn't have been more perfect as Laurent navigated his way to the side of the girl currently entertaining Bella. Although Victoria sincerely doubted his motives were for anything but his own benefit, it still suited her purpose.
In the moment Bella tried to distract the other human from Laurent, Victoria leaned closer. Not necessarily in a threatening away, although anyone's instincts could easily inform them that it wasn't out of complete friendliness either.
"Isabella, right?"
