She remembered idly kissing one of her ex-boyfriends on this very bench. Was that why'd she come here? Closure? She wasn't sure. Maybe she deserved this...she hadn't been a saint all her life. So was this God's punishment? Tori had to admit it wasn't as terrible as it could have been...she could have been stuck in that painful in-between stage forever. If this was hell, she'd take it. It seemed to her there were a lot worse lots in life to be in than this immortal state of incredible beauty. She looked to her left and saw that Spencer would be coming soon. She crossed her legs in anticipation...she wanted to see how he'd fared over their three days of torture.

[Spencer Ishate]

Spencer got up slightly woozy. Some of the pain still ached around his body. He stretched and began walking out of the small building he was left in. Memories came back in a flash. All he remembered was being with Tori. Then Victoria showed up. And after a few smacks, and a bite, he was thrown into an incredible pain. For three days straight. It wasn't exactly something he liked very much. He cracked his neck. As he walked closer to the beach, he saw Tori's body, on a bench. He felt bad. He thought he caused this fate, on them. He sat down next to Tori. "Hey. . " He said in a low voice. "Are you doing, all right?"

[Tori Derise]

She sighed, leaning back. Looking at him, he realized he'd just changed. His eyes were too bright for anything otherwise. She was astounded he'd managed to make it here and not attack any of the unsuspecting townsfolk. It was remarkable, Tori was barely at that point of control herself. All this she thought of to try and distract herself from Spencer's face.

Every inch of him was heartbreakingly perfect, more perfect than Tori could even now think she deserved. She was a murderer, a succubus of the earth who fed off a subordinate species. The sweet scent that radiated off his skin and hit her heightened senses sent her in a tizzy. Even though she couldn't faint, she felt lightheaded. She breathed faster just from seeing him. It was a good thing she saw what he was going to say, otherwise she couldn't have been able to come up with an answer. She could hardly think for the beauty of him.

"I'm actually alright. All things considered." Softly, she ran a now-perfect finger across the icy planes of his cheek. "But you aren't." It was a statment, not a question.

[Spencer Ishate]

Spencer put his arms around her. They would have to get through this together. It was the only way. "I'm fine." He lied. He lied to her, and himself. He was in denial that this actually happened. That vampires were real. That, he would be killing his own species to live, for the rest of his life. It didn't feel right, to him. Not one bit. "I thought i lost you." He said in a low voice. He was terrified at the thought that he lost her. "I thought. . . that girl, Victoria, killed you. And i'm not even, really sure that we are considered alive. . " The more he thought about it, the more it hurt to talk about it.

"I'm just really happy that, we are both together again." Then it hit him. He wouldn't even be able to see his family again. Not unless, he was strong enough to control himself. And maybe not even then. So, they couldn't asume, at what he has become. He didn't want to think of all of this horrible stuff. He needed o focus on the now. He needed to focus on Tori.

[Tori Derise]

It was easy for her to deny every word he had said. Those brightly glowing eyes in that amazingly beautiful face couldn't hide a lie, not from her. She shook her head sadly. "You're not. I know you're not. We have to be honest with each other, Spencer, especially now." She delighted in the feel of his arm around her shoulders: exactly the same as before, one memory of the life she had so obliviously led until now. She looked down. Everything of their lives: their families, their schools, every friend they had had until now was lost to them forever. All they had was each other. She could only take so much comfort in that.

She turned closer to Spencer, leaned into his shoulder. She shuddered at the solemn lonliness in his voice. I thought I lost you. She looked into his eyes, and what she saw there was heartbreaking. She cradled his face in her stone cold hands, keeping his gaze on her. She luxuriated in the look of his face, even in his smell. She knew she would remember his smell for the rest of his life, be able to track it across miles and miles if she had to. She refused to be seperated from him ever again. As long as they were alive, they would be together. It was the only way she could accept this, however selfish she knew the mental compramise may be.

"I'm here, Spencer. I'll always be here."

[Spencer Ishate]

"Ok. . " He said knowingly. He knew this was for the best, but he guessed it would be better to talk about it anyway. "I guess it's just hard. You know? To accept, that our lives were changed forever, when it just seemed like a normal date. But, why us? I don't get that." He said shaking his head. He didn't see the point in taking him and Tori. He didn't think they were that special. "And have you heard from Freddy, and Jamie? They were supposed to meet us out, that night."

"And I don't want you to leave." Spencer said, gripping her tighter. "I don't think I would be able to stand it. With everything, that is going on, anyway."

[Tori Derise]

She nodded. Acceptance was good. Especially good on their part. To add bitterness to the already burning fire of teenage angst along with all their new abilities seemed a bit much, even for them. She was still marveling at the fact that Spencer was here, and alive, and still wanted her. All of those seemed beyond belief. But then again, so were vampires. So who really knew what was what anymore? For goodness sake, she wouldn't be surprised if she ran into zombies walking back to Port Angeles. It was just another variation of the undead, right?

Jamie and Freddy. She knew Freddy was around and annoying Victoria, but she hadn't spoken to him face to face. Jamie she had, and Courtney as well, the new face. Well, human face sometimes. God knew what else it could be. She looked over to Spencer, lovestruck by the change in his face. "I don't know why us either. I'm in the process of finding out. Look, Jamie's perfectly alright. I just talked to her maybe an hour ago? And Freddy made it, I haven't spoken to him face to face. But he's being his usual annoying self and it's pissing off Victoria," I said with a lopsided grin. He held me tighter. I lost my breath entirely. I was pleased to find this no longer made me pant like I used to. I didn't have to breathe. Putting this in the back of my mind, I moved closer to Spencer. "I'm here. I'll always be here, as long as you want me."

[Spencer Ishate]

Spencer laughed a bit. "I have a feeling Freddy will always do that. Even though, he may get killed from it." This cheered Spencer up a bit. Knowing that his friends were all right. And that, they didn't lose them. They would be more to add to the toll of pain. "Well. . I hope you don't mind, staying with me forever." Spencer kissed her. His lips lightly brushing, against hers. "I don't I will ever, not want you." Spencer smiled weakly. "I guess, we just have to accept this, and move on with our lives." He said shrugging. He didn't know eactly what these lives, would cause though.

[Tori Derise]

I sighe, hopelessly intoxicated by the idea of being with him forever. "You know I'll always want you. I think 'together forever' might work out for us," she said smiling. His kiss startled her. It felt so...different, so entirely new, and yet in some ways it was exactly the same. It was light, quick, and left me hungry. Hungry in the normal, human way, reckless with desire for him, not for blood. It seemed in some ways I was different from who I used to be, but that was to be expected. I still had far more than I deserved.

Spencer smiled at her. "I think it just might." Spencer smiled. The last thing he wanted to do was lose Tori. He might just have to destroy himself, if that happens. Who knows. But, he didn't want to find out. Ever. His life would be empty without her. No point. Like a gun without any bullets. It's just an expensive club.

[Tori Derise]

She smiled shyly, still unsure of herself in this form. She was thankful Spencer was every bit as strong as she, otherwise she wasn't sure how to control her newfound strength. She could have killed him by accident. She shuddered at the idea.

She was glad he still wanted her, as impossible as the idea seemed to her. Even in her crystallized perfection there had to be someone better for him than her. She didn't nearly deserve him, although she felt more like she belonged with him now. One more thing they had in common. It was good they had some common ground, they had all of forever.

Spencer sighed and stood up. He stretched his shoulders back. "Would you like to go for a walk?" He asked calmly, as he outstretched his hand to her. Spencer just anted to move, for some reason. He didn't want to stay still at the moment. It almost felt like a sugar rush. Just, without the sugar. He wanted to burn energy.

I was impressed that he remembered to move at human speed. I often found myself forgetting it, even now. And I was usually the careful one. I took his hand and grinned. "A walk sounds good." We could probably both use some typical Forks cold night air. There were a few benefits to our state, I had to think. One, eternity. Another, you never found yourself getting cold. In the end, the murder was not worth it. However, I couldn't se any other option.

But I promised every soul I'd killed I'd find out.

[Spencer Ishate]

Spencer held her hand as they walked down the street. If anyone would see them, it would just look like a couple walking. Nothing special. Besides the fact they were murderers. Spencer just couldn't get that out of his head. That he had to kill people, and drink their blood, just to live. It just didn't feel right. On a moral level at least. It felt great to his body though. But, not so much to his mind. "I can't reall get over the fact that I have been killing people to eat." He said low. He didn't want any of the few humans out, to hear him.

[Tori Derise]

She sighed. She hadn't wanted to talk about this, at least not tonight, but it seemed this subject had a way of always being on her mind. "I know, I know. I'm trying to keep it to a minimum but it just doesn't seem there's any other way." She squeezed his hand, knowing exactly how tortured he felt. In a way, they were sharks feeding on fish. Humans were their natural food source. The problem? They just happened to know what it was like to be human.
